She offers a fun, uplifting class that draws from her thorough background in the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Anusara Methods. She loves to play with the alignment in the poses and apply it to life off the mat. Her biggest teachings for the last three years have come from her little daughter Tessa and she is looking forward to sharing more with her yoga students soon.

I grew up with Yoga, always in some form, and all aspects have shaped me into something greater. As a child, I was taught to meditate, breath, believe, and to look for the good in everything and everyone. As an adult, I continued down the yogic path, finding alignment with what I believe, and what could be, all of which leads me to Anusara Yoga. Teachers like Todd Norian, Noah Maze, the Bliss Brothers, Sean Corn, Shiva Ray, Rodney Yee, Karen Dalury, and Laura Christianson have all inspired me. From my mother the yoga teacher, my childhood meditation teacher, Dada Agara (Anada Marga), my sister the yoga teacher, the countless Yoga DVDs that I nearly memorized as a teenager, to amazing teachers that I come across as an adult, all have changed my life, and have led me to where I am now; awake, happy, and at peace. As a teacher, I hope to inspire my students to go right to the edge, right to the point where the breath begins to diminish and then to draw back… Finding alignment in the body, the mind, and in the spirit. But first and foremost we must soften and open to grace and the experience. |

Tanja Hester |
 |
After teaching yoga in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles since 2003, Tanja is ecstatic to live in the Sierras and teach at Tahoe Yoga and Wellness! An insatiable student, Tanja is a self-described "yoga mutt," combining elements from Ashtanga, Anusara, and Thai yoga massage into her Vinyasa flow classes. She's studied with the yoga masters of our time – David and Doug Swenson, John Friend, Shiva Rea, Rod Stryker, Saul David Raye, and Judith Lasater, to name a few – and has been just as influenced by many less famous but equally inspiring teachers. Known for her "NPR voice" and lighthearted approach, Tanja strives to bring students a welcoming class that's appropriate for everyone while challenging the more adventurous. When not teaching, she's making up for lost time on the slopes, spinning, writing a house blog and marketing progressive social causes.

Holly Jacobson |
| |
Holly has been practicing yoga for seven years and has been a student of the Anusara method for two. She delivers authentic, safe and affirming yoga classes that blend precise alignment principles and the Tantric yoga philosophy of inherent goodness. She sees yoga practice as a means to renew and connect people more fully to their own hearts, and to one another. Through this deeper heart connection, as students we can physically feel our hearts expand; thus creating greater capacity for love, compassion and understanding. Rooted in the belief that teaching is a learning profession, Holly is an avid student and is inspired by many teachers, internationally and locally. She has participated in teacher trainings, immersions and workshops with some of the top teachers in the Yoga community including John Friend, Amy Ippoliti, Elena Brower, Kenny Graham, Noah Maze and Laura Christensen. Off the mat, Holly enjoys traveling, skiing, live music, crossfit and spending time with the best dog in the world, Paco. She is a passionate volunteer for Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe and has a thirst for knowledge in the subjects of health and wellness. |

Jacquline Tankersley |
| |
Jacquline first started practicing yoga in 2000. She fell in and out of the practice until she found Anusara yoga. This system seemed to make so much sense and began to heal her body and spirit in a huge way. It gave her tools to learn to help herself. When pregnant with her son Fynn, prenatal yoga class was one of her favorite memories. She believes that your awareness and senses are naturally more tuned-in when you are pregnant. Yoga not only encourages this, but also keeps the expanding body feeling open and connected to your new self and baby. Jacquline completed her teacher training with Sianna Sherman and Noah Maze in 2009. She feels that it is such a gift to help bring people deeper into their bodies and hearts through awareness, and is grateful to all of her healing friends and teachers for their support and wisdom. |

I've been practicing yoga since 1997 and teaching since 2003. My love and passion for this practice stems from the great connection with nature and listening from the heart, while exploring our inner radiance. Taking teacher trainings and workshops in the traditions of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Anusara, Vinyasa flow, and Qigong shape these teachings that I love to share with you. You may experience meditation, pranayama, chanting, deep stretching+strengthening, core work, and fluid movement in classes. Many thanks and blessings to my wonderful teachers including: David Saul Ray, Mark Whitwell, Shiva Rae, Roger Jahnke, Yandara, Eddie and Nicki, the amazing Tahoe yoga and wellness teachers and all the teachers who have inspired me throughout the years.
